My heart is broken for Galveston! My family and I vacationed there from Missouri in the Spring of this year. I recognize many of the places that are now lying in ruins. There is one picture in particular I wonder about. #13. Do you know if this was The Mermaid Shop or Murdoch\’s. I have pictures of my family at this souvenier shop with the same building in the distant background. If it is my heart just broke more. What a wonderful shop that tied together the most perfect family vacation we ever had. My heart and prayers go out to the families in Galveston and surrounding areas affected by Ike. My sympathies to those families who lost loved one because of Ike. I am so sorry!
